When I was unemployed for a year an dthe bank found out they started holding my unemployment checks for one week which would bounce half the bills I mailed payments to and they would charge me 21.95 or something p[er bounce transfer due to me having over drawen protection. Unfortunately there was nothing I could due as we lived from check to check (seriously I would have to scrounge spare change to put gas to get to school and back.) To say the least I am no longer a WAMU customer now that I am working. My original bank (and glad I never closed accounts with them) is Navy Federal and they get all my cash now. Its unethical for a bank to do those sort of things but they can hold the money for that long of a period. Screwed up I know but hey those fat bastards gotta make money too I suppose.
